Wow, where did the summer go?  I still have roses blooming, and my morning glories are starting to bloom, but suddenly I have boxes and boxes and boxes of fall/winter clothes arriving at my door almost daily!  It always feels like Christmas every time I get a new delivery but I still wait for my Mother to arrive so we can enjoy  them together.  I have no idea how I will ever get them listed in my store.  I have brought in a bunch of new designers.  Oh La La Couture is one of my favorites.  I filled out my fall/winter order and faxed it in then received a call from them asking me if I really wanted to spend $10,000.00 on my new order.  Needless to say, as much as I would love to have that much inventory, 10K is not in the budget. I asked them to look at my order and use their judgement as to what to exclude, and they did.  From what I have seen so far, they did a great job.  So, wouldn't you think I would have learned a lesson from that shopping trip?  Nooo!  Thank goodness I work with people who want to see me succeed. Another favorite is Isobella and Chloe.  Their clothes are so elegant, chic and well made, you would expect to pay twice as much as they charge.  So, for that shopping trip, I was a little more conservative (at least I thought I was) until Bunny called me. That order came to $9,000.00.  With this fore, I learned that it is much easier to buy than it is to remove.  Another new line is from "Me Too".  I  love love love these clothes.  Bright colorful designs, funky combinations, just really fun clothes to wear.  I've put a few online so far, but will be posting more daily.  When you come to my eStore, and if you don't see a size or style you want, pop me an email and I will see what I can do to get you what you want.  So far, I have been very lucky getting items that I had sold out of.  Spend some time on my store, check out the sales (it's a great time to stock up for next summer!)  Let me know what you think about my new fashions!!

Summer Is Comming... Think!

I woke up today to bright blue skies with puffy white clouds.  Opened the window to find that it's still freezing outside!  Oh well, it has to eventually turn warm !  I received a huge shipment from Mimi & Maggie yesterday.  I haven't opened it yet because my mother (and shipper, packer, organizer, my ever diligent partner) loves to be there when I open new shipments.  First Communion dresses and veils by Isobella & Chloe are selling well.  The fabric quality and workmanship is so superior to department store dresses.  And I have styles for every sha...pe and size.  I also finally finished listing my Jamie Rae sun hats, knit hats and headbands.  Again amazing quality that can be handed down to little sisters or cousins and still look brand new!  Today, spring mud boots are going online, along with some play clothes.  Visit the store often, and sign up as a customer for customer only specials.  Remember, this store is new and it takes a long time to get fully stocked.  So be patient and visit often as we grow and bring you the cutest clothes for your little fashionista!

If It's Monday We Must Sell Hats!

My sidekick Mom and I attended our first "show" at the Boston Children's Clothing Wholesale building.  We went to Church for the 11:00 Mass then headed down the Mass Pike to Rt 95 South (or as we old New Englanders call it 128) to Dedham for our next new adventure.  It's funny about these places, people are divided into 2 categories, love that you have an online store, or refuse to deal with you as if I were going to steal all their clothes and disappear into the great espace, never to be found again.  Come on ladies and gentlemen,  it's about time you embrace this new world where I can serve millions of customers around the world, and not be dependent on the weather or other forces to get customers to come to your door!  What we did find, were people who really want us to sell their products, and offer whatever support they could provide.  We met with 4 different Manufacturers Reps, each of whom carry multiple designers.  We were there to choose our fall/winter clothes.  So here we are in March and Mom is worried that these won't be delivered until August.  I had to remind her that we were ordering a season ahead, that we haven't even hit spring yet!  It can get very confusing!!  Anyway, one of the things I like best about these meetings is that I get to see the beautiful new styles for the winter holidays, and boy, did we find some special items!!  As we become more experienced at putting together a nice mix for the Boutique, I become more daring!!  No Garanimals here!!
Our new collections has flowing chiffon and soft velvet.  The Tutu outfits are just crazy, and I bought the entire line!!  We picked up some bohemian clothing from Mimi and Maggie that will look stunning at her ski vacation, or to spice up the dull days of  January!  I am so excited about everything we have picked out, and can't wait for delivery...however I don't want to rush spring or summer!!
So back to the hats...Jamie Rae has sent me a large shipment of some of the cutest hats, headbands, summer cotton brimmed hats all adorned with flowers or feathers.  She even has a new line of cotton "tube" type tops with matching hats which are so perfect for hot summer days.  I've added a few more today, and hope to get the rest done by the end of the week. These hats are not inexpensive, but they are worth every penny.  They hold up so well that they can be passed along to younger siblings, or sold on eBay.  Let me know what you think of the collection.  I am always looking for feedback!  Come to  my store and see what you like.  Remember, we are in the growing stage and I have lots more items arriving dailt for spring and summer.  I'd like to thank you ahead of time, because I know that you have a choice of where to shop, and I am very thankful that you choose www.ellasarahsboutique.com

Welcome to Ella Sarah's Boutique

Dear Friends,
Welcome to my first posting for Ella Sarah's
Boutique!  I have been selling children's clothes on eBay for a few years now, but I decided it was time to expand my horizons and develop a new website to sell designer clothing for babies and children.  I found a distributor, and made an appointment for Mom and I to go see and order spring and summer clothes.  We headed down Route 128 on our new adventure!  Excited and nervous, we didn't know what to expect.  Once we found the showroom, we were like kids in a candy store!  They sit you down behind a desk, and start hanging the most beautiful clothes, line by line, in front of you so you can choose what you want to include in you store.  We went in primarily looking for the designers Mimi and Maggie as well as Isobella and Chloe.  We were blown away by what we saw, and of course came away with several other designer items. The detail and workmanship on each of these items is outstanding!  It was hard to pick and choose what we liked best.  I hope you agree with me when you see what we chose for the store.   The clothes are starting to be delivered and will be available on the new web site very soon!
Can't wait to show off my beautiful fashions!!
Warmest Regards,
Kathy
